I’m more of a Rock Band fan, and more of a drummer. However, if I was smart enough to bring Guitar Hero and Rock Band back to their former glory, I would upgrade the drum kit controllers for both. For starters, I’d replace the kick pedal with an actual kick tower that can be used with an actual bass drum pedal. Then, I’d make the snare pads have mesh heads instead of rubber pads. As for the cymbals, I’d color them bronze so that they actually look like cymbals. I’m not saying they need to look like Zildjian A Customs (my favorite cymbals), but they’d actually look realistic. And just to add more authenticity to the drums, I’d make the snare pad and kick tower actually tunable with not 1, but 2 included drum keys. Why 2? Because if you drop the drum key, it seems to always disappear into the abyss, or at least grow feet and then run away. But, I’m not really smart enough to do that at all.
